My Desktop Icons Are Missing

Steps to take if your desktop icons appear to be missing while folders in other directories are showing.

Question: All of my desktop icons are missing. All I see is my blank desktop and no icons showing there. I see other folders in other files no problem.Can I restore this how I had it before ? -- Jorge

Answer:
The following steps explain how to show missing desktop icons which will restore them so they are all visible.

1. Right + Click any open area on your desktop.

2. Select Arrange Icons By and check Show Desktop Icons as shown in the example below.
