How to show hidden icon files and folders by using Windows XP Folder Options.



  How To Show Hidden Icon Files & Folders in Windows XP



Question: How do I go about seeing hidden files on my system ? I downloaded some files and think maybe they are hidden but not sure. I also want to see temporary files with tmp.

Answer:
You can see hidden files on your system using Explore for My Computer (or any folder) and selecting the top menu item called Folder Options. This should also show any hidden temporary files .tmp.

1.Click on Start > Right + Click My Computer

2. Select Tools and choose Folder Options.

3. In the Folder Options window make sure the View tab is selected and mark Show Hidden Files and Folders

4. Click Apply
